MUD RUN gear!

Today on my lunch break, I decided to visit the Army/Navy Store and check out the camo clothes for the mud run this Saturday. I wish I would've had a video camera, it was toooooo hilarious. I walked into the store with my 4 inch stilletto heels on, a satin pencil skirt and a silk blouse...not your typical attire for the Army/Navy Store, I gathered after I got some pretty funny looks from the staff and patrons in the store. I told the staff that I was running a mud run this weekend and was looking for some camo pants. All I can say is that Army clothes are big! The guy gave me a small & they literally fell off my butt...and I have a butt! So, we ended up trying on the kids clothes & eventually found some camo pants that fit. But then I found another pair in a different style. Hmmmmm...which camo pant was more fashionable, I asked the helper boys. They looked at me like I was certifiably crazy! We then discussed shoes and accessories and had a little show before I gathered my prizes for checkout. We decided on the classic camo pants, a black boot (boots that cover the ankle are required for the mud run) and a matching camo bandanna. Evidently, there's a newer style of camo, "mosaic," but the colors were dull and they required a brown boot...which, they didn't have in my size. Again, because Army clothes are so big, I ended up having to buy a children's size boot. The good news is that the children's clothes were cheaper.
EXCITING! My first time at the Army/Navy store was a blast! Who knew? I told them I'd send my friends there, so please visit! When I got home, my mailbox was stuffed and I discovered that our t-shirts & chip timers arrived, so we are ready to go! I was so excited! Noah & I danced and danced and played with our new camo clothes. It's definitely not my typical outfit, but so perfect for our run. Not that I've done it or have any idea what to expect! I took tonight for my free night, so up early tomorrow & Friday to train before the run on Sunday. Michael & Noah & I have been jogging at night (except tonight) so we should be able to do it without totally dying...hopefully! Noah checks out my new camo gear
