New Year decorations

My mother-in-law kept asking who was coming for New Year's Eve because I obsessively put up decorations. "Us," I told her. It's all for us. Life is to be celebrated.
Happy New Year. I am ready for 2014.

New Year's Eve "Party" Fun

12/31/13~ NEW YEAR'S EVE
Daddy, Mommy, Noah, Jackson, & Grammie

Just another quiet New Year's Eve at McBride castle!

Grammie and the noisemakers
I love this pic of both boys covering their ears as the firework pops! Just LOVE it!
Happy New Year!

New Year's Eve 2013

New Year's Eve 2013~
Mommy decorated the kitchen up with New Year's party fun and we had a small, not-so-quiet New Year's Eve celebration at home.  The adults pigged out on Mexican food while the boys loudly made a parade of horns and party noise-makers! Poor Grammie and her dog, Cocoa, must've had a headache! Then Michael & I took the boys outside for fireworks. That was really fun! It is crazy how a firework can bring a smile to the faces of young babes---and their Daddy! Happy New Year!

Christmas at Grampa's house

After Christmas morning at our home, Noah, Jax, and I traveled to Grampa's house for a Christmas celebration with more family. Daddy ended up getting the fever the boys had on Christmas Eve so he stayed home and rested.
The boys had fun riding on Grampa's tractor and playing on his farm.  It's always so special to have special time with my dad and my sisters.  Merry Christmas.

Christmas with Grampa

Christmas Day 2013-
I just love these pictures.  Noah, Jax, and Grampa went out for a walk to feed Grampa's cows.  I just love the sweetness of these pictures.
Merry Christmas!

The boys woke up to find themselves surrounded by a LOT of presents! Santa had come! Noah and Jackson each got a new bicycle as well as these cool batman riding wheels.  They got trains, dinosaurs, books, clothes...and more. These boys are blessed!

Merry Christmas!

Thank goodness we have an open floor plan, so the boys could try out their new wheels early Christmas morning!

Christmas Eve 2013

Mommy & her boys...Christmas Eve 2013

The boys ran a small fever on Christmas Eve, so we weren't able to attend Christmas Eve service, which is a disappointment.  But, we ended up having a nice time at home. As tradition, the boys were each able to open one Christmas present.  They played with their toys and were so excited for Santa to come!! Merry Christmas my darlings!

Noah asleep on stairs

Following the ride home from Polar Express, Noah was so tired that he fell asleep on the stairs. Now THAT is tired!

VIsit from Shawn & Amy

Our dear friends, Shawn & Amy, visited Texas from Oregon during the Christmas holiday. With all the stops they had to make, we felt so lucky that they visited the crazy McBride house on their travels. Shawn and Amy are just great people. Shawn has known Noah since his birth, and often helped babysit him during that transition time to motherhood when I needed some help. And he is GREAT with the boys. Jackson, who doesn't often warm up to people too quickly, was putty in Uncle Shawny's hands. Each boy took turns running into Shawny's arms, and Shawny was awesome.  We love them both & it was a big treat!!!
