Jackson's Fluffy Bunny Ears

One of my favorite movies of all time is "A Christmas Story." I always laugh when poor Ralphie's mother makes him put on his fluffy bunny suit that his Aunt Clara made for him. Well, Aunt Susie's first born, Matthew, was also born in November, so I laughed SO hard today when I put Jackson in his own version of the fluffy bunny suit! It wasn't pink, but I'm sure he'll one day be plenty embarassed. Susie has pictures of Matthew in this outfit, and Doug always gives her hell over it. I, personally thought the pictures were adorable. Just as I think these pictures of Jackson are adorable. I especially love the pic of Jackson with the pouty lip...as if he's saying, "Mommy...Really?!? Get me out of this fluffy bunny suit!" I don't have a girl---what's a Mama to do?!? Susie will love this.

Jackson found his foot for the 1st time

Jackson found his foot today for the 1st time! It was so special to see him discover that he actually had a foot and that he could hold it with his hands. SOOOOOO cute! Luckily, I had my iPhone and was able to snap a picure of this special "first." Love you sweet Baby Jackson! XOXO

Noah's 1st "DUNK" with Daddy

While visiting the Carliles, Noah, Dad'N, Sam, Lucas, & Brian played a little basketball. Daddy helped Noah make his 1st dunk. Clearly, the child is hooked!

Relay for Life Garage Sale

Every year, we do several garage sales to benefit Relay for Life. Noah has been several times, but this was Jackson's 1st time! Both the boys enjoyed Linda Whittington. They brought lots of smiles out, of course:)

Fun with the Carliles & Grammie

We stayed with the Carliles while in Ft. Worth for the Rock & Roll 1/2 marathon. They have renovated their already-beautiful home...and I was just in awe, taking it all in. Noah & Jackson had so much fun with Grammie and the Carliles. I only wish we could've stayed longer!

Rock-N-Roll Half Marathon

I did my first half marathon just 4 1/2 months after Jackson was born~ The Rock-N-Roll Half Marathon that benefitted Komen. I ran it in 2 hours and 9 minutes, which was much better than I expected...especially with the least amount of training I've ever done before I completed a half marathon. Go Mama!

Trials of Easter Pics 2011

I really, REALLY try to make a concerted effort to document our growing family. But I must say, it is getting REALLY difficult to take pictures with Noah right now. He gets all dressed up and excited to go...can tell me the rules, the rewards for behaving, etc.. and then proceeds to act like a total hellion! He flat out REFUSES to hold Jackson or take a picture with Jackson right now...even though he loves holding Jackson and playing with him at home. He screams, runs, and it is quite humiliating. We tried to take Easter pictures TWICE! Unfortunately, the 2nd go-round was not successful either. I even brought cupcakes. I figured, if he won't take a picture, maybe he'll stay still long enough in front of a cupcake. Sheer desperation. I pray it gets easier!

Noah's pronunciations

Noah is starting to get an East Texas accent. Driving to school this morning I heard him talking while watching a video.
Whale= way-yull in Noah talk.

Noah's 1st "School" Picture

Today was Noah's 1st "school" picture at Oak Tree Academy. BIG morning! I had to wake Jackson up to go to preschool, but he hung in there and I was able to be there when Noah had his 1st class picture. He looked so cute! ALL the teachers and moms were oohing and aaahing over my handsome little guy! And I must say, he did GREAT! He looked so grown up! I'm so glad I'm able to be present for such special moments. Love you Noah! And thank you Jackson for hanging in there with Mommy! Love you too!

Happy 64th Birthday, Grampa!

Today we had a spontaneous birthday lunch for my dad, AKA, Grampa! We met for Mexican food and birthday cake in Athens, and ALL the grandkids were there! It's so amazing to see my dad with my boys. It makes my heart SO happy. And they love him. So do I. Happy birthday to the best father a girl could ever wish for. Love you Dad.

My hot-tempered Noah

Noah knows what he wants---and he wants what he wants when he wants it! Don't know where he gets that;)

Mommy & Jackson

Mommy & Jackson for his 1st visit to Mrs. Lee's Garden. What a sweetie. Mommy loves you, Jackson.

Jackson's 1st Visit to Mrs. Lee's Garden

Last week Jackson had his first visit to Mrs. Lee's Daffodil Garden. Bless his heart---it was a tough time with Noah screaming & me having to breast feed him in the truck. But he was such a good sport. He's such a sweet-natured love. Love my youngest boy so much!

Noah at Mrs. Lee's Daffodil Garden 2011

Last weekend, we went to Mrs. Lee's Daffodil Garden. It was rough. Noah was NOT wanting pictures, and our outing was a tough one! Here's the few pics I did get of Noah. I'm thankful that we didn't have any major injuries though! I can't believe how BIG Noah is getting!
