Noah's 5 year old check up

Noah's 5 year old check-up:
I don't know WHY, but the nurse gave Noah a paper gown to wear! HELLO---he is 5!
Anyway, the paper gown was not a hit. It ripped. Then he put on another one. The 2nd gown ripped. To avert the second meltdown, I got innovative and realized I had a yellow highlighter marker in my purse.  Paper...meet marker! So, I let him color his paper gown. BINGO! That was the ticket! Dr. Austin gave Noah a perfect report!

Taking care of a bunny

Noah's class has a bunny that goes home with different friends on the weekend. Noah was thrilled that we were able to keep the bunny, Midnight, for a weekend at our home.  The boys each did a great job taking care of the bunny.  But Mommy was glad when the weekend was up! Those cute little bunnies can make a big (and stinky) mess!

First 2 Guys Experience for the boys

When I was growing up, when my dad worked at Lutheran Social Services in Dallas, my mom would often take my sisters and I along for some shopping, and we'd all have a big lunch at the best little Italian place in Dallas...Two Guys From Italy. I have such good memories of those times together. So it was really special to bring Noah & Jackson along with us to their 1st experience at Two Guys.  The SAME waiters and staff were there from 20 years ago...amazing.  Noah and Jackson had some awesome pizza, and Noah and Jax said, "This is the biggest pizza I've ever seen." We rolled out all carbed-up!

Underwear adventures with Noah

Noah went to the bathroom...came out of the bathroom and said he had little problem with his underwear (as I noticed he was not wearing any underwear).  I said, "What happened to your underwear?"  He said, "I don't know," as he led me into the bathroom...where I looked up and saw his underwear hanging on top of the light.  When I asked how his underwear got in the lights, he looked at me and shrugged his shoulders and said, "I don't know. They just disappeared up there," with a sheepish grin.  It's never a dull moment at our house! Gotta love it.

Jax spaghetti eating

Tonight while eating his spaghetti...Jax told me...and then proceeded to show me...that his spaghetti somehow got all down in his diaper.  We took the diaper off to find that, yes, indeed---his private parts were covered in spaghetti. (That couldn't be comfortable!) So, we brushed him off...and he proceeded to eat his spaghetti standing up in his chair...in the buff! Ha ha! I love having my phone for pictures like this...even if they aren't the greatest quality. I was talking to my friend, Courtney tonight and texted her this picture. She loved it, of course. I said in my message to her, "Life can be hard, but if we can learn to appreciate the seemingly small stuff like this...we find out...it's actually the big stuff."
Big stuff, indeed.

Noah's T-Ball Fun

Daddy got Noah this t-ball set, and they tried it out for the first time yesterday.  We've not been those overbearing parents that try to force their kids to do a bunch of activities. Kids need to play and have fun, not be overscheduled. Having said that, Noah has been more interested in baseball. And, I must say, he is a natural born athlete. He already has the body of a beast (at only 5 years old) and has incredible balance (no doubt a trait he got from his Mama!) Well, combine those genetic blessings, and you get our Noah...who slugged the hell out of the ball right off the bat (no pun intended!) Watching Michael show Noah how to hold that bat and hit was one of those special moments. Father and son....pretty special. We sent some pictures to Paw Paw, who replied, "What a swing! Comes by it honestly! Tell him I love him."

Weekend iPix

Although my iPhone doesn't take the best pictures, it sure is handy to capture moments that I might miss...like these moments with Grammie.

Grammie & her boys on her 66th

Trying to get my boys to cooperate for pictures can be a challenge! But I thought they did great to smile (minus Noah sticking his tongue out for a pic or 2) for these sweet pix of Grammie with all her boys. This just makes my heart happy. Love. Them.

More of Grammie's Birthday Fun

Love this lady!

Noah gives Grammie birthday kisses!

Daddy & Jax watch the fun!

Grammie loved the necklace and prize from Chicos for her birthday.
She has fabulous style---always has!

Michael & Grammie enjoy the birthday cake!
Make a wish, Grammie!

Then Noah makes a wish after re-lighting the candles!

And Jackson blows out the candles again...and again!
