Jackson Snow White Preview Pic

I don't know how this happened, but Rose caught this cute picture of my Jackson at the Snow White photo shoot.  What a delicious honey he is!
Love! LOVE!

Prince Noah

Here is a preview of a picture Rose Bailey sent me of Noah as the Prince in the Snow White photo shoot.  Look at those eyes! Love my Noah!

Memorial Day 2012

Memorial Day 2012-
No big plans at our house this Memorial Day 2012...
other than swimming in the pool with the boys, and having a heart full of thanks for the many service men and women who pay the ultimate price for our freedom.

Sliding Brothers

Noah is such a great big brother.  Today he put Jackson on his lap and took Jackson down the slide on his lap. Jackson's face just lit up! He loves his brother, Noah.  Then Jackson went down the slide by himself as his brother cheered and clapped for him.  LOVE that my boys are so close, already. Love that. Brothers share a special bond.  I hope that they always remain close.

Love is a verb.

While having a particularly tough week, I came home to find that Michael brought me 100 white Roses.  It's not our anniversary.  It's not my birthday.  He just thought of me and wanted to do something nice.  Love is a verb.  I hope one day that Noah & Jackson realize how important it is to CHOOSE to show someone you love every day.  It doesn't have to be 100 roses.  It could be a call, a hug, a soft shoulder to cry on.  But relationships are like gardens.  You get out of them what you put into them.

Visit from the Carliles and Paw Paw

The Carliles & Paw Paw came for a visit this weekend, which is always a TREAT! Noah caught a fish from our "lake," and was VERY surprised when MOMMY got the fish off the hook when the fish got stuck on the hook.  (Mommy has skills.)
GREAT time spent with family!

Ever the lover of trains...Noah spread his train track across my living room floor. Of course he has a train table, but somehow, track on Mommy's living room floor was exciting!
Love. This. Boy!

This past Thursday, I took the boys to the zoo for a fun treat! Noah loved seeing the big snake & the black bears were bee to the zoo. Such a great time with my little loves. They both were perfect!

Toasting Elizabeth

It was a wonderful moment this past Tuesday when I met Elizabeth at a downtown coffee shop to celebrate her divorce. I asked a random stranger guy to take our picture on this momentous occasion. We all had a good laugh, but in all seriousness, it was an awesome moment! She can now heal & start her life renewed. Blessed day!

Sweet Jackson

Rose Bailey sent me this cute preview picture of Jackson from the Snow White photo shoot a couple weekends ago. I was completely surprised to see how cute it turned out, since Jax was not at all cooperative for the photo shoot! All it takes is the right clicking of the camera at the right time...as this sweet picture demonstrates. Love that boy!

Alice's sweet note

Rebekah sent me these pictures if an essay Alice wrote for school. So sweet! Love that little honey!

Athens Arboretum

The Athens Arboretum is an unexpected little treasure! There are slides, little cottages for the kids to play in, a playground, and of course beautiful nature trails.  We had a great time exploring! Noah loved looking for "tracks" of the different animals in the woods.

Happy 4th Birthday Summer

So THIS is adorable Summer Turney...AKA, Noah's future wife! Not ONLY does she have beautiful red hair, we LOVE her parents, so we've made a pact that hopefully we'll have an arranged marriage! Summer was born just 3 months after Noah, and he simply adores her.  Just look at them. Delicious.

Snapshots of Snow White Session

Mirror, Mirror...on the wall
Who's the cutest red-head of them all? Why Noah, of course!
Today we met Rose Bailey at the Athens Arboretum for a Snow White themed photo shoot.  She picked Noah to be the prince.  And, he was a PRINCE! Very little fussing, very cooperative...no running...no photo shoot from hell. I never thought I'd say that based on history! Unfortunately, Jackson was up at 5:30 and we are weaning him to one nap...and he's just not a people person like Noah...thus he was a beast.  He was supposed to be dwarf.  He screamed if Michael even tried to put him down.  Much less wear a hat! So, we just let him skip the group pix, and poor Rose tried to get a picture of Jackson in the brief, 2 minutes his feet actually landed on the earth's ground and he didn't scream.  These are just a few pictures I was able to take in-between all that goes into getting a group of kiddos together.  It was fun and I know that Rose's pictures will be fab.

Alice's schoolwork

Rebekah sent me these pictures today. They are pictures of a work assignment that Alice completed in school.  She talked about visiting Noah & Jackson.  I just thought this was the most precious thing ever. Love you, Alice!

2012 Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

Susan G. Komen for the Cure 2012
For this year's race, we got RAIN! Luckily, it rained heavier in the early morning hours and only sprinkled on us a bit for the actual race.  I was this year's National Sponsor Liason for Komen again, so I am always wearing 2 hats...literally! But it's always fun to have our Susie with us for this Mother's Day tradition!
