Daddy's Halloween Mullet

 Halloween 2011
Silly Daddy...got out his old 80's Halloween mullet for a silly Halloween surprise! Clearly, Noah loved it!

Trick-or-treating Halloween 2011

Trick-Or-Treating Halloween Day 2011
Jackson (almost 1--by 2 days) & Noah (3)

Halloween 2011~
What a fun Halloween! My boys dressed up as two little monkeys, and we took a stroll through our most fabulous neighborhood for trick-or-treating! Noah was so exited to go trick-or-treating. The boys did great! Noah was so fun to watch. And Jackson rode along in his stroller and just loved being outside.
Happy Halloween!

Jackson's 1st Halloween

Jackson's 1st Halloween
October 31, 2011
Jackson was a cute little monkey for his 1st Halloween. He must have the sweetest temperment of any child ever born! He just let me put the costume on,hat and all...no fussing.  He is my observer...takes it all in.  I think he had the most fun just watching Noah run from house to house in our small neighborhood.  He thinks Noah is the coolest thing ever.  Moments like this, sharing my son's "firsts," are what life is all about! Happy Halloween, sweet youngest son of mine! I love you dearly!

Happy Halloween 2011

 Happy Halloween 2011!
The boys dressed up as the cutest little monkeys for our first Halloween as a family of four. Noah wanted Mommy to dress up, too! I found this costume in a bin of Halloween and joined the fun. Why not? I mean, life is short! I don't want to be sitting on the sidelines! If the boys are having fun, I want to be right there with them! Noah said, "Mommy, you're a rainbow!" Love it! So, we ended up with 2 monkeys and a rainbow this Halloween!
Biggest treat!

Jackson Eating His 1st Birthday Cake

Jackson's 1st Birthday Cake

Noah blew out Jackson's candle, as Jackson was more interested in Mama's homemade pumpkin sugar cookie.

Jackson is such an individual! Instead of diving into cake, face first...he just picked a couple of pieces up and pushed them around. He was more interested in the sugar cookie I put in front of him, which was fine with me!
Happy 1st Birthday, Sweet Jackson!
Mommy Loves You!

Jackson's 1st Birthday Cake

"Our Little Pumpkin is Turning 1!"
Betty Smith of Village Bakery did an AMAZING job on Jackson's cake! She put his picture from his birthday invitation ON the cake (100% delicious & edible) along with the coordinating cupcake toppers I had custom ordered to coordinate with Jackson's party colors. Betty always exceeds my expectations, and, believe it or not...the cake was as delicious as it was beautiful!
The cake was almost as big as Jackson!
Check out this delicious cake!
(I can hardly wait for Noah's party!)

Fishing with the family

The day after Jackson's 1st birthday party, Paw Paw came over and the kids all went fishing in our little backyard lake.  Lucas & Noah caught a fish! How blessed are we to have a little lake and trail that surrounds our home? Yet we're only about a 5 minute drive from the best sites in Tyler. Love our place!

Photo Booth Outtakes

1st Birthday Boy Jackson

For Jackson's 1st Birthday Party, I gathered some props for a little photo booth.
It was so fun watching people grab a prop and act silly. I mean, life is short!
Why take ourselves so seriously, right? This will be a stand-in at our parties now.
I loved this idea!

Noah's 1st Fish

Special day today---Noah caught his 1st fish out at the little "lake" behind our house. I'm amazed that Michael's phone took such great pictures. Paw Paw was right there and helped Noah throw the fish back in the lake. Big day for my favorite red-head!

Jackson's 1st birthday Pumpkin Patch

For Jackson's 1st birthday party, I envisioned creating a cozy little pumpkin patch in our back yard. I have to say...I put so much effort into this party...with EXTRA details everywhere. And it paid off. Love is in the details. I am so happy with how it turned out. The weather was perfect, and I couldn't have envisioned a more perfect day for my youngest son's 1st birthday. Happy 1st Birthday, sweet Jackson. Mommy loves you dearly!!!
