Mommy & her boys

Today was Western Day at Oak Tree Academy, and so we all dressed in our Western clothes...well, as western as we have...for the day. Noah & I had matching shirts and hats and we just stuck a bandana on Jackson, who was perfect!!!

Western Day at Oak Tree Academy

Noah, Jackson, & I had a fun time at Western Day today! I was able to find Noah & I matching shirts. Well, technically mine was an XL boys shirt at Gymboree, but it worked for the day. Noah got to pet all kinds of farm animals, and then we finished with a picnic lunch. Fun farm day!

50's Great Getaway Camp

Noah accompanied me to the 2011 Great Getaway Camp hosted by ETMC. The theme this year was 50's style, so he dressed up so cute as a 50's boy, complete with leather jacket. He was a hit of course! He danced and danced. He loved seeing Miss Linda and all his friends. We stayed several hours and were both very tired when we went home! Although it was a good time, it was not my favorite camp. It just wasn't the same this year without MaryBeth:(

The Best Grampa & Father EVER

I just have to say that I have the best father of all time. And he is an awesome Grampa! He is so present, and knows that his presence is the best gift he can give us. How blessed I have been to witness how to love from him. What a special treat it was to hear him preach Easter morning 2011. Oh, how I love this man! He is the BEST!

Matthew lost his first tooth today, Easter 2011

Matthew lost his first tooth today while sampling one of my homemade cookies! It was sooooo funny! He was a little freaked out, as you can tell by the picture! How can he be big enough to be losing teeth? I was there when he was born...seems like yesterday!

Easter egg hunt at Oak Tree Academy

Noah had a wonderful time hunting Easter eggs with his friends from preschool this past Thursday. His teacher made him a special basket from a paint can! Noah is getting particularly stubborn in regard to taking pictures as of late...which explains some of his goofy faces. He DEFINITELY has a mind of his own!

Easter

Easter 2011~ After church we go to Susie's house because she's local in Athens. Look at all those Easter baskets lined up! We have the BEST extended family, and Easter is such a special time. Even with our busy lives, my sisters & I always make sure we're all together with our Dad at Easter. Family is so important.

Egg Hunt at St. John Lutheran Church 2011

Easter Egg Hunt at St. John Lutheran Church 2011- Noah really had fun hunting Easter eggs this year. Having his cousins & Grampa there made it all the more fun! Grampa helped with Jackson so that I could hunt with Noah.

Easter 2011- He is risen! He is risen indeed!

Our Family Easter 2011

Easter 2011~
Easter was so special this year! This is our 1st Easter as a family of four! Oh what a difference a year makes! Noah is three and Jackson is five months old. We attended St. John in Athens where my Dad preaches. And can I just say...he is THE BEST!?!? We put flowers on the cross, a tradition started by my mom at our little Lutheran church in Commerce when we were growing up. Noah hunted eggs, and then we had a big feast at Susie's house with Susie's family, Denise's family, & my dad & Oma. Happy Easter! He is risen indeed!
