Easter Sunday Service

Easter Sunday Service... It's always wonderful to be in Dad's church on Easter Sunday with the whole family. Listening to my dad preach is always the best. He's truly incredible. He played guitar for the songs the children sang during the children's program. He's so hand's on, with not an ounce of pretentiousness. I love him.

Things to remember about Easter Sunday Service 2010:
~When Grampa said, "We now rise for the 1st hym," Noah shouted aloud, "Yaaaaaaay Grampa," and started clapping. Uncle Doug said, "Big fan of the 1st him, Noah?"
~When it was time to go to communion, Noah saw Grampa and started shouting, "Grampa, Grampa, Grampa!" at the top of his lungs. It was so funny to watch my dad put his hand upon Noah's head & say, "May the Lord bless you & keep you in your baptismal vows, Noah," without cracking a smile while Noah was shouting, "Grampa!"

He is risen! He is risen indeed!

You gotta love it. Grampa (aka Pastor Rogers) playing the guitar for the children's program. Of course, while practicing before church service, Noah became fascinated by Grampa's guitar and microphone...so Grampa let Noah say "Hi" on the microphone.
