Race For the Cure Part 2

I have to give a special shout out to the Tyler Firefighters. I don't think there is a finer group of men anywhere. A friend of mine, Wes Malcom (Tyler firefighter), lost his wife to breast cancer. The Tyler firefighters have since developed a grassroots effort of cancer awareness & relief efforts for firefighters & their families affected by cancer. This year, the Tyler firefighters escorted breast cancer survivors onto stage in an emotional and moving ceremony. It was something to see. Tyler Firefighters ROCK!
This Tyler firefighter RAN the 5K in FULL GEAR, including coat, helmet, mask, everything. This is him just as he's finishing the race & getting some of his gear off.

The Tyler paper asked Noah to smile so she could put him in "spotted." This is what he did. What a ham!

Wes Malcom

Noah sporting a pink hat I got him.

My nephew Matthew sporting the same hat!

The Sigmon family. Christine ran the whole race! Good job, runner girl!

Linda Weskamp, my dear friend, and her grandaughter, Emma in front of the New Balance sign. I nominated Linda for "Honorary Team New Balance Member" this year. New Balance sent her this coat, shorts, a shirt, hat, and pink New Balance Shoes. Her story will be featured on the New Balance Honorary Team Member section! Go Linda! Linda is a 19 month survivor....& counting!
