On our way to the airport

We had just a few hours of sleep last night before getting up early to head out to the airport. Getting the boys to bed last night was a nightmare, but I'm so proud of how well they did this morning after awakened so early. Noah sprung right out of bed with no fussing when I told him it was time to get ready to go fly on the airplane. Poor Jax was difficult to wake up, but only briefly fussed. So I'm pleasantly surprised.
I'll be boarding the plane with my husband of 15 years (April 18th) & with the 2 boys for which my heart beats. Funny how at the end of the day (or in this case, the beginning) my whole world is actually made up of a rather small circle of dear ones. If you are reading this, know that you are clearly a part of that circle & that I love you dearly.

Flowering the cross

These pix are of Noah flowering the cross at my dad's church Easter Sunday 2013. My mom began this tradition years ago at our home church, Trinity Lutheran, in Commerce, Texas...many years ago.
I love our family's sense of tradition...and Easter Sunday is one if many family traditions in my family. And I must say, doesn't my Noah look dapper?!

Faulkner Park Fun

Although today was a brrrr 50 degree day, of course Monday was a lovely 82 degrees! The boys & I went to Faulkner Park for fun on the playground and trails. I love the pic of Jax looking up at Noah...probably because that's what Jax does now...looks up to and idolizes Noah.

Easter fun at Grampa's house

After Easter service, all my sisters & our families met at my dad's house for lunch & fun. My dad is simply the most amazing & awesome father & Grampa. There's something about watching my dad with my boys that makes my heart so happy. Oh, how I miss my mom...especially at Easter. How I wish she could hug her grand kids & shower them with her unbelievable love. But I was blessed to be loved by the best!









After a long afternoon at Grampa's, we headed home & found an Easter surprise from our good friends & almost newlyweds, John & Jenny.


Then Paw Paw & Sarah came for a visit & we had another Easter Egg hunt in our front yard!
He is risen!!

Happy Birthday Judge & Tiffani

Tiffani's birthday is tomorrow, and Judge Clark's birthday is this Friday, & I felt sad I'd be out if town got their birthdays. So, I brought our favorite tuxedo cake to our morning staffing today! I just love these ladies! There's just something about Aries women!!
We are a force of nature!!

Ready for Colorado

It is no secret....I hate cold weather; always have. Heck, I lived in Hawaii! After refusing to go skiing for the past almost 15 years, I finally told Michael I'd go. Noah is beyond excited. Jax doesn't have a clue what's up, & I'm going to be taking a 2 year old & a 5 year old on a flight to Colorado tomorrow! Yikes!
Packing was a beating, but I'm sure it will pale in comparison to the airport/airplane saga soon to follow!
