Noah's BIG BOY BED...& Mommy's mistake

I've been working hard at getting things done before baby Jackson arrives. We decided to order Noah a twin bed because he barely fits in his crib-to-toddler bed. The nursery is not really big enough to accommodate all the furniture in Noah's bedroom, so I thought I'd be brilliant and savvy and order just the new bed in the same color/finish as the other furniture, so we could split the furniture and furnish two rooms! Go Mommy! Oh, how I wish it was that easy. I was soooo disappointed when Noah's bed came in & IT DOESN'T MATCH! UGH! Seriously? We thought the finish was the same but it wasn't, so now we have mis-matched furniture in Noah's room, which bugs me a lot! Michael said we'll just order Noah a new dresser and will probably move the armoir upstairs into the guest bedroom (which could use another piece of furniture anyway.) I wish little mistakes like that didn't bother me so much! Oh well, at the end of the day, it's not really a big deal. Noah could care less, and it's not even that noticeable...except to a freak like me who likes things to look the way I envision them to look! Sometimes my OCD is not a good thing! The GOOD NEWS is that NOAH LOVES HIS NEW BED!!! He helped Michael carry the mattress into his room and was SO excited when Daddy put the bed together. I am so thankful that we had no drama...especially after the oober-drama that we had over getting a new vehicle. Noah spent the first night in his bed with no problems! Victory!

32 Week Visit

Today Noah went with Michael & I on our 32-week visit to see Dr. Willis. I was anxious about bringing Noah, since the last time we took him to the doctor for my ultrasound, it was an absolute nightmare. Good news is that Noah was perfect. He went around telling everyone, "Hi. How you doing?" Dr. Willis was so great with him, and even let Noah turn on the machine she used to hear Jackson's heartbeat. Noah liked hearing the heartbeat, but quickly said, "All done," and turned it off! We all laughed! Dr. Willis said, "Everything looks perfect." My belly measured 32 cm, and I'm 32 weeks, so she said we are right on track!

Cute & Cozy in his new sheets

I got all of Noah's new big boy bedding washed and ready to go. He REALLY liked his 3 new pillows, especially the ones that had his name on them. All we need now is his new bed! It's been shipped, but hasn't arrived in Tyler yet. After we get Noah's new bed, we can move his converter crib to Jackson's nursery and that'll be a big "to-do" off my list! Noah sure looked cute and cozy in his new sheets!

Mommy's Laundry Helper

I had this stack of laundry out ready to be folded ALL day yesterday! But Noah had so much fun playing in the clothes, it didn't get folded and put away until just before his bedtime! I love that he has simple fun, like playing hide & seek in a pile of laundry. Mr. Underwear Head came out to play again, too!

Mr. Underwear Head

Noah got a real kick out of taking his underwear out of the laundry pile and putting them on his head. I called him, "Mr. Underwear Head." He danced around with the underwear on his head without a care in the world! I'm sure when he is a teenager, he'll love these! But remember, Noah....it's GOOD to be silly and not take yourself too seriously! Keep dancing! Life if short!

Tie Bow, Mama

While I was doing the dishes this morning, I had to laugh when Noah brought me this ribbon and said, "tie bow, Mama." I tied a bow around his waist and he thought it was just so much fun. I love how Noah finds joy in the seemingly small things. I hope he keeps his sense of wonder and adventure.

My little nature lover

I just love that Noah is a little nature boy. It's so sweet to watch. He loves trees and flowers. While Daddy was power washing, Noah became fascinated by some flowers in my porch planter. He'd look at each flower and pick the petals off sweetly, examining each petal.

Dearest Noah, always appreciate nature the way you do now. Mommy loves you so much.
