Papers from school

I love looking at the papers that come home from school. Today, Jackson brought me a flower painting made from his fingerprints, & Noah brought home his 2nd spelling test he's taken so far in kindergarten...all correct!!

I have a cool new app, called ARTKIVE, which lets me just use my phone to take a picture of the boys' projects...and it archives them & then prints a book when we are ready.
Pretty cool! I love when technology makes it easier to record my boys' memories!

September moments

Just a few September moments...
Sensory art fun in the bathtub and Daddy "teaching" Noah how to mow the yard.  Love my boys.

1st day gymnastics

Noah decided to start gymnastics at a local gym.  I think it will be a great way to expend some energy, enjoy others, and learn something new. Here we are on his first day! I love the way he jumps right in! That's my boy!

Noah's apology letter

This one cracks me up. Noah received a note home today due to spitting on his best friend. Noah adores his friend Sawyer. But like all boys, they get into disagreements.  I love this note that Noah gave his pal the next day. We also made him a goodie basket, which he loved. The friendship clearly survived.

Shaving cream sensory fun

The boys had fun painting the bathroom tub & walls with shaving cream paint we made after school. It is great sensory fun & keeps the boys busy on a hot Texas afternoon!

Noah's hilarious penis talk

I'm sure the title of this post got your attention! I did snap a pic of the following conversation, but only to show Noah's daddy, as a pic of this would cause my son lifelong mortification!
Here's the conversation Noah and I had after he had his last pee pee before bed and was getting ready to put on his pull-up for night-time. Keep in mind he is naked at the time. I'm sitting on the bottom step of our stairs.  He comes up to me, holding his man sack and we have the following conversation. WORD FOR WORD:
Noah: "Mommy, why is there a big ball right there? What is that?"
Me: "Noah, that's your scrotum."
Noah: "What's a scrotum? Like, there's 2 of them. I like to play with them.  What does it do?"
Me: (Not wanting to get into baby talk or anything deep...and knowing that Noah admires his big penis, I replied) "Um....it helps to grow your penis big."
Noah: "I like my big penis.  Is there anything that grows your bottom big? I like my big bottom."
Mommy: (Who was thinking, um, CARBS but instead replied) "Protein, exercise and sleep."
Noah: "Yeah, protein and exercise make you healthy and strong."
