Fourth of July 2013

We spent 4th of July at home with the family this year. Noah got sent home from school the day before with a 102 fever so we kept it low key. Daddy grilled meat, we played on the swings, Noah swam (the water was freezing which is so weird for July!) and we had a mini-fireworks "show" which was pretty hilarious to watch!
4th with my family of 4---All I ever needed.

Zoo fun

I took the boys to the zoo yesterday because we had an unusually cool day...which is only 92...but for early July...that's cool!
As always, they had fun & did well.

Mommy & Jax

Mommy & Jackson (2)

It's hard to believe that my little baby is now 2 1/2! He is such a sweetie & so much fun! And he does a good job of hanging with the "big kids," too!

Noah's 1st real firework show

Noah's first real fireworks show was a hit! Although (especially with a 2 year old who was up way past his bedtime) waiting for the fireworks show was tough...it was worth it to see Noah's face when he first saw the firecrackers popping up the sky! As you can see from the pictures, at first he & Sawyer were a bit afraid. But after the show started, they really enjoyed it! Noah was so sweet. He said to Sawyer and Ms. Shelby, "Thank you so much for inviting me to this." Sweetness. Oh, how I adore my precious boy!

4th of July at Eagle's Bluff

We joined the Buske's for an early 4th of July celebration this week. Noah & Jax had so much fun running around with their best pals, Sawyer & Kamryn on the golf course. Jax was especially funny. Some old stick-in-the-mud lady was being all grouchy about the kids running on the greens. She even sent a little dude out there to "guard" the greens. Well, dude met his match with my 2 year old Jax...who proceeded to throw a golf ball in his stomach when the guy tried to tell him to get off the greens. No one was hurt, but it was pretty funny. Dude eventually gave up as he realized he was no match for a mighty 2 year old!

Trucks & construction

There's not much more exciting to my boys than waking up to multiple cement mixers & a giant crane working on new home construction next door. How cute are they? I love his the simplest things make their hearts happy. Precious boys. Mommy loves you!

Haircuts

I took the boys for haircuts this week. Noah was a ham & entertained everyone. Jax made progress in that he didn't immediately start crying when we entered the haircut store...but waited until his actual haircut.
I'll take progress where I can get it:)

Jax & I...pre-haircut

After....of course they got to go to the McDonald playground after as a treat!
