My Intentional Family

Today I had a long lunch with two very special people. My "brother," Winn, and my "sister," Tiffani.  I do not have words to convey the depth of love and connection I feel with my intentional family...because some things are only felt with the heart....the soul...the energy...the spirit.  We share and connect more in five minutes of converstation than many people do in a lifetime of relationships.  Between us there is an energy of love, encouragement, compassion, connection, and support.  If you would've told me a year ago that I'd have this bond with a psychologist and an assistant district attorney that I met through Drug Court...I would've told you that you were nuts! But God's plan is so much bigger than my plan.  His vision is so much broader.  My heart is full.  I feel truly blessed.  Truly, transformative relationships!!

A "WINN"ing Friendship

Have you ever had something happen...meet someone...have an extraordinary experience...and just KNOW....deep down to your core...that something...or SOME ONE...in this case----is GOD Given?

Well, that's how I feel about my dear friend, Winn.  Winn is a psychologist, and might I say...the BEST I know...and we had the opportunity to meet when he spoke at a training provided through Judge Clark's court.  He spoke for about 30 seconds, before I instantly felt in my gut of guts...that we would one day be friends.  I didn't know that he would be the brother I never had, but God has a way of providing our "intentional family," as Winn would say. 

And That He DID!
I have a bond and a connection with him that is real and profound. 
And it's been there since day one.

Thank you God, for sending me the blessing of my brother, Winn.
My heart is full. 

Best Friends Photo Booth Fun

Best Friends-
Elizabeth had ANOTHER surgery 5 days before these pictures were taken, and she still somehow managed to come to Michael's 40th Birthday party & look oober-fabulous! She had a ready-made box of longhorn decorations for me so my party wasn't completely lame....once again, saved the day! She & I were the first ones to jump in for the photo booth pictures.  Because WE ARE FUN!!!
