Austin, Texas adventures

To round out our Austin, Texas adventures, we rode the train again and again!!! The boys loved it! We also walked through the parks and played as we traveled. The boys had a great weekend. Daddy & Noah got to see the Bevo game. And Jackson had a super 3rd birthday!

There's something so special about watching your children blow out their birthday candles. It is an emotional thing for this mama.  I'm not exactly sure why. I guess part of it is the tradition; the emotion of how fast the time has gone since this precious child has entered our lives.  And the desire, the WISH for them to be happy and have all the love and joy that their heart can hold.

Trip to Austin for Jackson's 3rd birthday weekend & Bevo game

For Jackson's 3rd birthday, we started with train rides, then out to eat, then birthday fun. In-between, Daddy & Noah went to the Bevo game. It was a full day!

Happy 3rd birthday, Jackson!!!  You had a BUSY day for your third birthday! Even though your "official" birthday party is already complete, Mommy made sure that you had cake and a party for the exact day of your birth!! After train rides, dinner, and the trampoline park, Mommy insisted on lighting the candles and having a party! To be honest, Daddy thought I was a little nuts.  "He won't know the difference. He's 3," Daddy said.  "Well, I'll know," Mommy replied. So Daddy humored me and we got cake, balloons, and party supplies for a very late-night birthday party in our hotel room in Austin. (Daddy & Noah went to the Bevo game earlier today).  Jackson, you couldn't have BEEN any cuter or sweeter! Just look at you! Mommy loves you SO much! Happy 3rd birthday, Jackson!

Trip to Austin for Jackson's 3rd Birthday 2013

We were in Austin for the weekend of Jackson's 3rd birthday. Daddy & Noah went to a Bevo game on the 2nd, and after the game we went to a trampoline park, to dinner, and then did MORE birthday cake fun! We rode trains and trains galore. The boys had a blast!

I always love the after-party following a birthday party at home. Yes, the house looks like hell, and frankly, so do I...but I never care. We put on our sweatpants, slide, bounce, and just have a little fun as a family.  Paw Paw and his crew joined us which made it extra special!

Construction Party Details

Oh the details and WORK that goes into throwing your son's birthday party at your house! My house was literally under construction from all the crafting supplies, banner-making crafts, cones, and construction stuff everywhere preparing for the party. People always comment on why I do it. Why, you ask? Because it makes me feel good. No moments in my lifetime compare to the birth of my children.  And celebrating their birth is a big, big deal to this Mommy.  I hope one day that when the boys look back, they know that their Mommy did the best she could to make their birthday extra special...because my boys are extra special!
