Halloween 2017 was a doozie. It started with a trip to Urgent Care for Annemarie who was diagnosed with pink eye, followed by the boys staying home as well after complaining of not feeling well. After they each had very long naps, we journeyed to try trick-or-treating. Well, that turned out to be a bust! It was cold and raining, and we tried to go to the event at the mall, which only had 1 person giving out candy and a long line to get that one said piece. The boys were saying, "This is the worst Halloween ever" until Mom decided to try to save Halloween. I talked to the boys about a compromise. We decided to go to the store, buy a bunch of candy of their choice, and then hunt the candy around our warm, cozy house. SCORE! They loved it and ended up telling me they felt "grateful" for their Halloween. #momwin.
