Polar Express Field Trip

Last week Noah's 1st grade took a field trip aboard the Polar Express. His teacher texted me these pictures. My favorite pic is of Noah dancing. I hope he always dances.

Annemarie was particularly "over" the long Christmas photo shoot session.  I don't blame her one bit! After everything was done, she fell asleep...and we were able to get a few more pictures of her in this cute, red crochet hat.  She is one month in these pictures...such a perfect little love.

We usually take our Christmas pictures outside, but this year we had an unexpected cold front come through, and it was WAY too cold outside to take pictures...so at the last minute, we decided to take pictures inside at our house.  I tried to set up a cozy Christmas setting and thought that if nothing else...I could have the boys jump on the bed and surely they'd smile for that. Rose Bailey (http://rosebaileyphotosprinting.com) was an absolute saint to put up with my boys...as they were particularly challenging!! But the idea of jumping on the bed was perfect.  We threw in some red feathers and pom pom balls, and they had a ball.
Christmas Pictures 2014- DONE.  There's a special kind of relief that comes from having the dreaded Christmas pictures complete!

Noah is thankful for...

Noah brought this home from school at Thanksgiving break. "I am thankful for our home and our family."

This picture took what felt like FOREVER to capture.  The boys were not in their best form.  One would complain, then the other. And then there's the issue of safety! (Don't worry...Mommy is hidden behind baby Annemarie making sure she's safe!) For all the hell it is to take Christmas pictures, Rose Bailey (of Rose Bailey Photography) was absolutely amazing and patient until we got the shot.  And I can't believe Annemarie opened her eyes, but she did! And the picture is priceless.

Annemarie at 8 weeks old

 My precious Annemarie is 8 weeks old today! My goodness, where does the time go? Just look at her...her soft sweet baby skin...those perfect lips...the sweetness that can only be God's grace.  There really are no words for my experience of mothering this baby girl. We have a bond that is so strong.  I cannot imagine my life without her. She has molded perfectly into our family.  I treasure this sweet love of mine.  She's just a delight.
