Christmas Eve 2012-
It was a REALLY special Christmas Eve because Denise and her kids joined us at Susie's house for a pre-church family get-together. We haven't been able to have Denise with us these past couple years on Christmas Eve, so this year was a real treat. Our tradition on Christmas Eve is that each person is allowed to open one gift. Noah wanted to pick out a present for Daddy himself. Noah bought Daddy some Christmas Angry Birds boxer shorts. Daddy cracked up when he opened his gift. Good job, Noah!

Noah & Santa pictures 2012

Noah has always loved Santa & this year was no different. He was so patient to take pictures with Santa. He asked Santa for a new bike! I have a feeling Santa knows that Noah has been a good boy.

We made our best effort to get pictures of the boys with Santa this year.
Key words: BEST EFFORT
It was actually a treat: Grammie stayed an extra night and was able to go with us to visit Santa, so we had an extra pair of hands. Noah & Jackson did well while we waited for Santa. Jackson even waved to Santa from behind the line prior to us visiting Santa. But when it was his turn to sit on Santa's lap...THAT WAS ANOTHER STORY!!
Poor Jackson started screaming his head off, began reaching for Michael, and...well, nothing would calm him down until he was safely in Daddy's arms. Bless you, my little Jackson! We love you!

This Santa had his hands full! Jackson was trying to escape off Santa's lap, and I don't even know what Noah was dong! I think he was trying to climb ON!

Mommy & Jackson- Polar Express ride 2012~
Our ride on the Polar Express was MUCH less active last year...as Jackson was not TWO and was much less mobile! This year was an adventure! He was all over that train!!! At one point, since my boys love to be naked....and that doesn't change when we're in public...Jackson decided to STRIP OFF his shirt! Oh yes...I took a picture of him stripping rather than kept his shirt on. The little elf on the train said, "Well, that's a new one I haven't seen yet!" (We are a force of nature, the McBride clan!)
Anyway, no one seemed TOO offended...I mean, he is two years old. So we just played with Alice and danced on the train...half-clothed!
Just another relaxing train ride...not exactly.
But I wouldn't change a thing. Love my Jackson!

I was lucky to be able to get a few pictures with my Noah while on the Polar Express, because Noah wanted to be a "big" kid and spent a large portion of the train ride sitting with Sam and Lucas, who Noah idolizes...while on the Polar Express.

We got a special treat when riding the Polar Express...and SANTA got on the train! He gave us all a special bell...just like the story of the Polar Express....MAGICAL!
