Riding into Fresh
How fun are these carts at Fresh? Sounds simple...but having their arms busy sure helps Mama to get groceries! It's the simple joys in life, right?!

Jackson's 1st Day of School
Jackson's 1st Day of School at Oak Hill Montessori School (Age 21 Months)
Jackson would not humor Mommy for pictures on his 1st day of school. But we did manage to get some pictures of us all together on his first day. And getting him into school was a family affair, indeed, so it seems fitting! I was so proud to see my "baby" boy walk into school (after Daddy 1st carried him in). As you can see, he did not enter into hysterics immediately upon entering school. Progress. This is good! Much better than meet-the teacher. Although he did cry for a bit when we first left school, HE STAYED AT SCHOOL ALL DAY!!! I kept calling the school...asking if I needed to pick him up. I told them I'd work him into going a full day (8 am-3 pm) if that's what we needed to do. But my little guy did GREAT! Resilient as ever! He even NAPPED AT SCHOOL!!! (Again, something I didn't think was going to happen on the 1st day...thought we'd have to ease into it.) His teachers did great at comforting us BOTH! SO PROUD of my youngest son. I know that this is the RIGHT choice for him and for our family. From now on, my work day ENDS when I pick up my sweet angels. It's a win-win for our family. And THAT is what matters most!
1st Pick up from 1st Day of School
Well, the 1st day of school was a success! Jackson was fine coming to the pick up line, but started crying when he saw Mommy. Transitions are hard, sweetie. We went for a celebratory 1st day of school ice cream and all was well with the world:)

Sleeping angels
Poor Michael...Since I can't lift Jackson, he has been doing double time with the boys. I can put Noah to sleep, but Jackson still sleeps in a crib & Michael is so tired...getting up with him late nights/early mornings. He's a good husband and Daddy. Love my boys.

Mommy's neck
It has been 3 weeks since I had my neck surgery. I've been healing well but am not allowed to lift the boys for 90 days post surgery...which is the toughest for sure. But all in all...I believe surgery was a success. I will probably require a fusion at some point, but I'd rather only do that once instead of twice...which is probably what would've happened if i would've listened to the first doctor I saw. God knew what he was doing though, & I ended up with the best doctor. Now...if I can just not over-do it!!!

Noah's meet the teacher
Jackson Meet The Teacher
Jackson's 1st Meet-The-Teacher....
As you can see from the pictures above...Jackson was less-than-thrilled to meet his new teacher at Oak Hill Montessori. He screamed...really screamed...the first about 10 minutes we were in the room. I'm still illegal from being able to lift more than 5 pounds...Jax weighs almost 30. But don't you know I lifted him a few times to try to comfort my less-than-social baby meet a new teacher. He eventually cooled down and we began sweeping the floor and flower arranging. All ended well. He is just slow to warm up, my Jackson. All-in-all, though...it could've been much worse! Change is hard, little buddy!

Back to school haircut
Noah did a GREAT job getting a back-to-school haircut at Adventure Cuts! I was SO surprised and happy, because last year, when we tried to go to Mr. Steve's Salon for a haircut, it was an utter disaster. Steve still talks about it! Great job, Noah!
Oh, how I LOVE Noah's curly, red hair! Love you!
